The $$GOTO$$ and $$GONETO$$ directives redirect the user to a specified URL.
Both can be used to redirect to other sections of the same site, other VWcms sites, or completely different sites.
The directive must be on the first line of the section.
A section using $$GOTO$$ appears in the table-of-content and the site-map.
The next section, Go to Design illustrates this directive's behaviour. Selected from either the link, or the table-of-content, or the site-map, it will redirect the user to the "Designing The Site" page.
$$GOTO$$ is particularly useful for building integrated composite sites from multiple VWcms sites.
A section using $$GONETO$$ does not appear in the table-of-content or site-map.
It is used permanently to redirect a section which may have external references and which has changed its name or location.
The next section after "Go to Design", Go & Gone 2 illustrates this directive's behaviour. It cannot be seen on the site. To see its behaviour change this section's URL from "Go and Gone To" to "Go & Gone 2" in the browser's location field and be redirected to the WASD site (dependent on Internet availability). Only in site management edit mode can this section be seen.
